The Drum collection in collaboration with Christopher Merchant was inspired by images captured by Bernd and Hilla Becher of revolutionary technology, as well as highly ordered natural formations mushroom gills, flower petals, and refracted light. Christopher Merchant sought to combine these inspirations in a classic lamp profile while expressing the unique character and capabilities of 3D printing, a technological revolution in itself.
